HalalScan ("we", "our", or "us") built the HalalScan app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data.

Information We Collect

• Camera: Used solely to scan product barcodes. No images are stored or transmitted.
• Sign-In (optional):If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address to identify your account. With Apple Sign-In, you may choose to hide your email address using Apple's private relay.
• Scan History: Stored locally on your device and in our database (Supabase) to provide scan history features.

How We Use Your Data

• To check halal status of scanned products
• To display your personal scan history
• To allow community feedback submissions

Data Retention

Scan history is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app.
